Diversity at Work

At Currie & Brown, diversity is about valuing everyone as an individual, about embracing differences – in views, experiences and backgrounds. 

It is very important to us that we create an environment that understands, values and utilises the differences within our people. We aim to offer a supportive, harmonious workplace, free of prejudice, harassment and discrimination. In fact, this is a right we are all entitled to. Creating an environment where people can excel without encountering bias or being hampered by race, gender or disability has been our focus. Currie & Brown has been recognised as providing best practice working conditions for women, demonstrated by Currie & Brown being assessed as compliant with the EOWW Act by the Federal Government’s Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) and successfully implementing their first EOWW program incorporating the specific initiatives that had been undertaken over the 12 month reporting period.

This is an example of how we put the rhetoric – "our most important business is YOU" – into practice. We’ve created a working environment that recognises and rewards people for ‘ living the values’ and that can mean anything from ensuring equal opportunity and a safe work environment, to supporting people in integrating their work/life responsibilities by offering choice and flexibility.
